Caffè Tropea is one of the hot spots for London Foodies, set in the beautiful gardens of Russell Square. For the past 35 years it has been running under the name “Caffè in the Gardens”. Giovanni the son of the original founder wanted to move the brand on and ensure that the business was set for another 35 years of success under the next generation of the family.

Caffè Tropea was born! A new and exciting brand, with strong identity, mixed with the family values that had guided the business for the past 35 years. Caffè Tropea needed the website to match the new brand and give users a taste of what they could expect from their visit, as well as a new digital storefront e-commerce website where they could sell their authentic Italian coffee to more customers than ever before!

How did Webster Digital Help?

Brand guidelines had been produced as part of the re-branding. We took the time to really understand these and how the end website needed flow. It was vital that the website gave a consistent feel to users as often it’s the first contact they have with the brand.

To ensure the website could carry the new brand over the coming years it needed to be future proof and able to handle any changes that the business would face in the coming years. Giovanni needed a simple and secure CMS integrating with the website. We opted for a completely custom-designed WordPress site, building plugins and simple to use widgets to allow him to update the website on the fly.

Caffè Tropea also needed a new online shop where they could sell his outstanding Italian coffee to customers all around the UK. We integrated a fully functional e-commerce section into the website build that beautifully showcases the quality of their products yet is simple and straightforward for visitors to navigate.
